Magic Of Hogwarts School

Below is a list of Staff Job Descriptions. If you want one of the jobs below please take a look at the description and be sure you will be able to fulfill the requirements.

Teachers:
Teachers should be able to devote enough time as needed to creating lessons and assignments, doing grading and helping out their students. As a teacher you are a member of the Magic of Hogwarts Staff. This means that you are able to give out points to your students as well as take them away. We have set up a grading point system for you to follow to keep things systematic. To check that out please click here. You will need to be able to send all of your lessons and assignments to Angel our headmaster. It is recommended that you create a database for your class on the main mailing list so that your students will be able to keep track of their grades. Another important part of being a teacher is keeping track of who is in your class. As a teacher this is your job, and no one else's. This is a big undertaking, but it should also be really fun. You are able to run your class in whatever way you would like. You also need to be available at the groups mailing list to answer any questions pertinent to you or your class. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Heads of Houses: Heads of Houses must be responsible, helpful and trustworthy. You are a part of the Staff and almost like second in command under the head staff. You should keep yourself knowledgeable so that you will be able to answer questions any members of your house might have. You also need to help keep track of who is in your house and keep in contact with members of your house. One way to do this would be to create a "common room" mailing list that you would subscribe the members of your house to, that way you could easily keep in contact with them. You will need to be somewhat available to the members of your house to answer their questions. You will also be in charge of your house's Quidditch team. This is something that will progress as this group grows. Oh and of course have fun. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Prefects: Prefects also need to be responsible, helpful and trustworthy. They are here to help out the Head of House. So that means you also need to be knowledgeable so that you can help to answer questions of your fellow house members. You will also help the Head of House with the Quidditch team. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Diagon Alley Shop Owners: Diagon Alley Shop Owners need to be able to handle email in their inbox, as if this group gets larger, they may have a significant amount of it. Their main job is to take the request form that will be sent to them via email from the website and send the person who requested things a receipt saying that they have whatever they requested. You have the ability if you are capable to create your own website for your shop and a link will be added from Diagon Alley. The only requirement is that on the website you have a replica form for people to request items. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Daily Prophet Staff:
Editor:
The editor should be the one who receives all the articles from his/her members of staff and compiles them all together in a nice format, and edits them so they are as free as they can be of any and all spelling and gramatical errors. The editor will then also post the Daily Prophet to the main mailing list, as well as sending each issue to the Vice Headmaster so it can be put up on the website. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Writers: Writers of the Daily Prophet will be responsible for keeping in contact with the editor about their stories and what they will be reporting for the Daily Prophet each issue. They can help the editor out by proofing their "articles" before they send them into the editor. They may also ask for outside help from other members in finding out info for their article or to find out late breaking news. Any further questions about this position can be directed to the Head Staff.

Student Council:
Head and Members:
The head of the student council will be the one who makes sure the council is under control and doing the job they are intended to do, and they will help make sure thier fellow members are staying active. The purpose of the student council is for them to discuss and come up with new ideas for the group and present them to the Head Staff for them to be reviewed and put into action.

Welcome Committee: Members of the Welcome committee will be asked to subscribe to the welcome committee's mailing list. They will Welcome the new members who subscribe to the main mailing list and offer themselves as a "buddy" to that person to help them get started out in the group.
