There really aren't too many rules for this group. The main rule is to just have fun. I'll get into how the group is run in a moment, but first off you should know that there will be no bad language on the list. If you are found using it, there will be a point deduction from your house. Also we understand that real life often gets in the way of anyone participating in this group, but we do ask that you at least try to make an appearance on the list in some way or another at least once a week so that we know you are still active. Oh and if you plan on leaving the group please let us know so that we can remove you from this site, it will help to keep us up to date.

Now onto how the group runs. We have a main mailing list at groups.yahoo.com/group/themagicofhogwartschool/ you can follow the link or just input your email address in the box on the front page to join the mailing list. Please feel free to post on that mailing list, we want to hear from you. After you have joined the mailing list, you need to be sorted. So you come here to the website and go to the sorting hat, fill out the form and within at least 2 days all your information will be mailed to you and will be put up on the website. After you are sorted you can sign up for classes. To do this you just go to the classes page and send an email to the teacher of the class you want to register for. The teacher will then add you to their class and you may begin the lessons in that class and earning points for your house. After you sign up for classes you will need to visit Diagon Alley to get all of your supplies. Once in Diagon Alley, your first stop should be Gringotts, where you will sign up for your 500 Galleons. You can then go out to the shops and start buying your supplies. A record of everything you buy and how many Galleons you have left will be kept on record on your personal page that you can access through the students list page. There is one simple way for you to earn more Galleons to add to your account. You have to trade in points that you earned for your house in for Galleons, find the conversion chart here. So to trade in your points, you would simply email the Staff.
